In June 2003 the new terminal 2 at Munich airport was taken into operation. At the same time a full-coverage mobile telephone supply for an estimated passenger volume of 25 million people had to be guaranteed.

In December 2001 ARCADIS was assigned by T-Mobile, the leading network carrier at the Munich airport with the realization of the necessary construction measures for the Inhouse supply of terminal 2. Objective target was to reach a mobile telephone supply for all represented mobile phone network carriers at the airport. Therefore the 4-storied terminal 2 was equipped in the inhouse area as well as the outside facilities for mobile telephone supply. Six park levels in the adjacent, newly built car park (6400 parking spaces) were equipped for mobile telephone supply as well.
