Rehabilitation of US family housing areas in Vogelweh and Ramstein

Reason for realization of this project was the fact, that most of the US apartments did no longer meet current technical and living standards. Therefore, it was decided to rehabilitate, renovate and repair a total of 434 apartments (Phase I). After realization of Phase I, the rehabilitation of the complete housing areas in Kaiserslautern-Vogelweh and Ramstein will follow. The entire rehabilitation will be performed in a 10-year program with a total investment sum of 500 mil EUR.

However, this rehabilitation project is not limited to only the apartments but will also include the entire building structures with their outdoor facilities. All apartments will get additional bathrooms and sleeping rooms as well as balconies.

Furthermore, all roof constructions, exterior facades as well as the complete services and technical equipment will be renewed.
All apartments will be equipped with new bathrooms and new kitchen.

Special attention is paid to the fire protection by installation of smoke detectors and sprinkler systems within the apartments and the renewal of water pipes and fire hydrants at the outdoor areas.
